OpenFoundry
Chipmaking, in the open.
We are building an open-source semiconductor fab in Switzerland.
Our first process targets 5 µm features. It is old by industry standards, and that is the point: most sensors, power devices, MEMS and research prototypes do not need nanometres. They need access.
Every tool, recipe and measurement we use will be published, so anyone can reproduce our work, improve it, or build a fab of their own.
We will make short runs for researchers, students and small companies, and teach people how to make chips themselves.
We are based in Lausanne.
If you build tools, know process, or have a device you want made, write to us.
